'The Powerful' is the only threat!

You know, not talking about goverment or obviously very rich guys, billionaires, religious creeps or new age sissie witches, for these guys are just used as kind of suspense, or to yarn some conspiracy theory into the endlessness. 'The Powerful' are much more complex but secret, to come straight to the point even toxic, mean and stop at nothing in order to defend their empire. Something about holding the reigns, literally working in the background, never get recognized and if one of them gets however, he, she, it immediately will be 'replaced'. The system has to work smoothly, no effort too high, means human life means nothing. I recommend 'The Counselor', to catch a glimpse of the whole business. The spirit is joined in a special substance, which has to be consumed by a human. The spirit or energy uses the being as a dwelling, stays in, hides inside sticks to the body. But... sometimes if the power feels threatened or provoked, it rushes out of it´s host. One could describe it as kind of shaped fog or a transparent white dust or some darker stuff, if it can be visualized anyhow. If it attacks the 'enemy', it like gums up a main part of the 'enemy´s' body chemistry. The victim is immediately limited in sense and perception, means feels blind or the short-term memory is deleted, a temporary psychosis can be a consequence, or some other discomfort like breathing problems. Just wanna mention this in conclusion, the people who make a pakt with this, mostly more than three persons, receive huge bad powers and are able to scheme, maybe kill the human that jams the signal.
These powers are just the single parts of a huge machine, which rules this world, further the universe ...borders? That is maybe a quite dark vision, but ...it is there ...truly!
